It’s Christmas present time! I got my sewing machine last Christmas with a view to making lots of this year’s presents for friends and family.
To kick start the making I found some great floral vintage style fabric in one of my local fabric shops and picked up some nice vintage lace at Spitalfields market. The plan is to make some little half aprons for a couple of friends who love to bake.
Keep an eye on the blog…I will post some pictures of how they turn out.
Ok, so it’s not the best stitching you will ever see and I think his tail might fall off if I’m not careful but this is my first sewn fox and I’m rather proud of him – if only because it’s one of those rare occasions that the finished thing actually looks like how I had imagined it.
We are ‘blessed’ with foxes in our back garden and they have become quite a feature of my life in London…
This is my first blog and I’ll be posting up my attempts at various crafts including sewing, needle felting, painting and anything else that takes my fancy, in an attempt to spread the joy that is my love of crafts.
